Merletti Aerospace takes the chair: lesson 4.0

On 25 January Merletti Aerospace took the chair meeting the students of the three-year period - economic sector of the High School J.M. Keynes in Gazzada Schianno, within the project "The economy near me"

Theme of the first meeting of the conference series: the role of the Aerospace sector in Varese and the importance of innovation 4.0 within the industrial sector

The meeting began with the presentation on the role of the Aerospace sector in Lombardy and above all in the province of Varese, through the words of Dr. Paola Margnini - Lombardia Aerospace Clusteron the value also in economic terms of export and completeness of the supply chain based in the province itself.

Afterwards, our administrative manager, Ivan Zingaro, represented Merletti Aerospace, telling not only of the company's industrial development from 1972 to today, but also setting an example of how a SME can and must develop according to the logic known today as Industry 4.0

After an initial analysis of the concepts of Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine 2 Machine (M2M)the different projects that led Merletti Aerospace to develop full interconnection between work centres, industrial automation, management systems and software were presented, also referring to the Assessment of the DIH - Digital Innovation Hub Lombardia conducted in June 2021 in which Merletti Aerospace reported an average score of 4.15 out of 5 in the macro processes of Design/Engineering, Production and Qualitylink news)
